Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the standards that apply when you access or use TechRoute (the "Service"). It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. By using the Service you agree to comply with this AUP. If you do not agree, you should not use the Service.

1. Who this applies to

This AUP applies to everyone who accesses the Service, whether or not they hold an account, and to all content you submit through it (for example your display name, profile image, or bug reports).

2. Permitted use

The Service is provided free of charge for your own personal, non-commercial study and revision. You may:

• create a single account for your own use and record your revision progress;
• view, and refer to, the learning material for your own education;
• contact the operator to report a problem or exercise your data-protection rights.

3. Prohibited use

You must not, and must not attempt to or assist others to:

• gain unauthorised access to the Service, its servers, databases, accounts, or any data that is not your own;
• probe, scan, penetration-test, or otherwise test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach or circumvent any authentication, access control, rate limit, or security measure;
• interfere with, degrade, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure, including by overloading it, or by using bots, crawlers, scrapers, or other automated means to access it;
• copy, reproduce, scrape, resell, republish, or otherwise exploit the content or any part of the Service, except as expressly permitted by the Terms;
• use the Service to break any law, to infringe anyone's intellectual-property or privacy rights, or to facilitate any unlawful activity;
• submit, upload, or transmit anything that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or discriminatory, or that contains malware or malicious code;
• impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation;
• share your account credentials, use another person's account, or create accounts by automated means or under false pretences.

4. Security and responsible disclosure

TechRoute is a learning tool about digital support and security. Curiosity is welcome — but it must stop at the boundary of your own account. You must not test, exploit, or attempt to bypass the Service's security, or access another user's data, even out of interest or to demonstrate a weakness.

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly and privately to techroutelearning@outlook.com and do not disclose or exploit it. Good-faith, responsible reports are appreciated.

5. Content standards

Anything you submit (such as a display name, profile image, or the text of a bug report) must be accurate, lawful, and inoffensive, and must not infringe the rights of others. We may remove any content that breaches these standards without notice.

6. Monitoring and enforcement

We do not actively monitor your private revision activity. However, we may review submitted content and take action where this AUP is breached. Depending on the seriousness of the breach, we may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or permanently terminate your account. Serious or unlawful conduct may be reported to your school or college and, where appropriate, to law-enforcement authorities.

7. Reporting misuse

If you encounter content or behaviour that breaches this AUP, please report it to techroutelearning@outlook.com.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Where a change materially affects your obligations, you may be asked to re-accept it before continuing to use the Service. The version number and date above indicate the current version.
